FAQ
Questions teams ask before they switch
Short answers about how VirtualStation works, what it costs and how your data is handled.
Still have a question? Send us a messageWhat is VirtualStation?
VirtualStation is a virtual office for remote teams. Everyone has an avatar in a shared workspace, so teammates can move around, talk, meet, chat, manage projects, track time, and work with AI in one place.
How is VirtualStation different from Zoom, Slack, or Teams?
Those tools are mainly built around scheduled calls or messaging. VirtualStation is designed to feel like a shared workplace, where your team can see who is around, walk up to someone, start a conversation, manage work, and stay connected throughout the day.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Your team can use VirtualStation from the browser. Depending on your setup, you may also choose to use desktop or companion experiences where available.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. You can start with a smaller team and explore VirtualStation before deciding whether you need a paid plan.
How do I set up a workspace? Do I need technical help?
No technical setup is required. Create your workspace, invite your team, choose or configure your virtual office, and start working. You do not need a developer or IT team to get started.
Can we invite clients, contractors, or guests?
Yes. You can bring external people into your workspace as guests without making them full members of your team.
How does time tracking work? Is it invasive?
Time tracking is started intentionally by the team member, similar to traditional time-tracking tools. Depending on your workspace settings, it can include screenshots and app or website activity. The goal is to give teams useful work visibility, not to secretly monitor people.
What can the AI agent do?
VirtualStation’s AI can help with work that usually creates extra coordination. It can support standups, summarize meetings, capture notes and action items, help create and assign tasks, assist with brainstorming, and help teams keep track of what needs attention.
Which tools does VirtualStation integrate with?
VirtualStation is designed to reduce the number of disconnected tools your team needs. Integrations can connect it with the other systems your team already uses, depending on the tools and integrations currently supported.
How do you keep our data secure?
Traffic is encrypted in transit, including audio and video. Workspaces are isolated from one another, and admins can control access through roles and permissions. Admins can also remove or block users when needed, and additional identity-verification options can be enabled where supported.
Our team works across different time zones. Will VirtualStation still work for us?
Yes. VirtualStation is built for distributed teams. People can work asynchronously, see who is available, use chat and project tools, and catch up through meeting summaries, standups, tasks, and updates without everyone needing to be online at the same time.
Can VirtualStation scale as our team grows?
Yes. You can start with a small team and expand your workspace as you add more people, rooms, projects, and workflows.
Can I use VirtualStation without the virtual office map?
Yes. The spatial office is one part of VirtualStation, not the entire product. Teams can still use communication, meetings, chat, project management, productivity tools, and AI workflows depending on how they prefer to work.
Can I try VirtualStation with just a few teammates first?
Yes. In fact, that is often the easiest way to start. Invite a small group, try it with your real workflow, and expand to the rest of the team once you are comfortable with how it works.
