VirtualStation is where remote teams spend their working day: spatial presence, chat, audio and video calls, screen sharing, tasks, time tracking and AI meeting summaries. When something breaks, a whole team feels it. Quality is not a final step for us; it is part of how we ship every month.
As a QA Engineer you will own the quality of features from the first spec to the release, work closely with developers and product, and help us build the automation that lets us move fast without breaking things.
What you will do
- Review requirements early, ask the awkward questions, and write test plans and test cases that cover real team workflows.
- Test across our desktop apps, web app and mobile apps, including real-time audio, video and screen sharing on different networks and devices.
- Build and maintain automated tests for the web and API layers, and help bring them into our release pipeline.
- Run regression, smoke and release testing for our monthly releases, and sign off with confidence.
- Test AI features such as meeting summaries, action items and AI standups for accuracy, edge cases and failure modes.
- Write clear bug reports with steps, logs and recordings, and follow them through to the fix.
What you bring
- 2 to 5 years of software testing experience, ideally on a SaaS or real-time product.
- Strong manual testing skills and a good eye for user experience, not just pass or fail.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation tool such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or Appium.
- API testing experience with Postman or similar, and comfort reading JSON and network logs.
- Familiarity with bug trackers, test management and the basics of CI.
- Clear communication. You can explain a problem so a developer can fix it on the first try.
Nice to have
- Experience testing WebRTC, audio and video, or other real-time features.
- Experience testing desktop or mobile apps.
- Basic performance or load testing experience.
